01 · The Practice
Mistakes are expensive.
That is precisely why
they are invaluable.
Over 30 years in financial analysis and accounting, one habit becomes second nature: reading numbers not as a report, but as the biography of a business. Every line of a balance sheet is a decision made under specific circumstances — and there is always something to read between the lines.
"Forewarned is forearmed. Real protection is not knowing everything in advance — it is reading a situation before it reads you."
16 years working within British corporate structures, tax law and international frameworks — not as theory, but as live mandates with real consequences. The sort that is paid for, and paid for dearly. Every mistake absorbed along the way now works for you.
02 · The Journey
32 years.
Every one counts.
They say in business it matters to be in the right place at the right time. My path proved something different: what matters more is being there with the right knowledge. 32 years ago I began by drawing cost calculations by hand in Riga. Today I advise those building capital in the heart of London.
1994The school of hard skills.
Age 17. The real education began in a Riga kitchen — manually recalculating production costs. That is where I understood: in accounting, there is no 'approximately'. There is either a balance, or a catastrophe. Precision, system, the compulsion to get to the bottom of things — all of it started there.
1999Trial by fire.
At 22: chief accountant at a Latvian-Danish enterprise — imports, exports, tax, hundreds of employees. Then my own practice in Riga, running property development from land acquisition to handover. I watched money become concrete, and I know precisely where the losses hide in that chain.
2008When the market collapses.
The 2008 crisis hit hard — property in Latvia fell 60%. I watched ambitious client projects dissolve. Not a failure, but a powerful filter. London became the new point of departure.
2010Britain. The premier league.
Arrived in London in 2010 — alone, into the unknown, with no connections and no safety net. A deliberate challenge to myself: either master British corporate law and HMRC requirements in full, or leave the market. In this environment, imprecision is punishable by law, and professional standing is measured by the ability to operate with absolute precision. It was here that I forged my approach — combining British pragmatism with years of international experience.
2013 — TodayDubro Advisory Ltd.
In 2013 I founded a professional accounting firm — which became an institutional foundation for hundreds of clients, a system where the discipline of numbers is honed to perfection. But accumulating that depth of expertise brought a realisation: accounting is only the framework. Business needs not just records, but vision. That is how Dubro Advisory Ltd came to exist. A deliberate transition from managing processes to strategic partnership. My method: working with causes, not symptoms. Not fixing the numbers — changing the architecture that produces them.
03 · Approach
The safety net goes down
before anyone
walks the wire.
Most advisers arrive after the fact — when the structure has set like concrete and the room to manoeuvre has closed. My work begins earlier: when a better outcome can still be designed, not salvaged.
My method is financial mapping. I do not sell 'optimisation' — that word belongs in introductory textbooks. I build the architecture of decisions. Before you take a single step, you will see the complete picture: hidden costs, regulatory hazards no one mentions at a first meeting, and the genuine points of growth you may not yet have considered.
A mistake is not a catastrophe. The catastrophe is making one alone. On the other side of the table: 32 years of practice, lived, paid for, and calibrated to a precise standard. I am here so that your path is not a sequence of experiments — but a clearly considered strategy.
04 · Why Dubro Advisory
Not a list of credentials.
A record of results.
I do not hide behind qualifications or wrap advice in jargon. I am a practitioner. Practice hardens anyone — and 32 years of it leaves very little room for comfortable illusions. I am not afraid to make mistakes. But I am here so that you do not have to repeat the ones I have already made.
"My experience is your instrument. Whether you use it — that is your decision. I simply open the door behind which the real picture of your business becomes visible."
